The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a study for a commuter rail line in Broward County. As part of the study, FDOT will evaluate the social, economic, and environmental impacts associated with a planned transportation improvement project. The study will analyze ways to integrate passenger and freight service along the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway to address congestion issues, improve mobility, and support economic and land development policies in eastern Broward County. FDOT will host two virtual and one in-person public meetings, all of which will include an open house and a presentation.
