Oakland Park continues to receive recognition for its innovative ideas! The Florida League of Mayors announced recently that Oakland Park had won the Mayors Municipal Innovation Award for its senior food delivery program. Oakland Park earned the award in the Quality of Life category, which recognizes municipal programs that use creative solutions to enhance the community experience and make the city a more desirable place to live, work or play.
Executive Director of the Florida League of Mayors, C. Scott Dudley, applauded Oakland Park for implementing a program that “reflected a solid commitment to the citizens you serve.”
Recognition for the Mayors Municipal Innovation Award will take place during the Florida League of Mayors Meeting on August 9th in Orlando.
