Oakland Park Celebrates 25 Years as a Wildlife Habitat

Illustration from the National Wildlife Federation to celebration Oakland Park as a wildlife habitat

Did you know there are 184 National Wildlife Federation Habitats in Oakland Park?

Certified as a National Wildlife Federation Community since 1998, Oakland Park was just re-certified for its 25th year! This year, six new properties, including three homes, two schools, and a park, joined our community's growing list of certified wildlife habitats.

We are proud to have so many welcoming havens for wildlife in our backyard! We are committed to being a sustainable city that preserves the past as we build for our second century and beyond.
