Father's Day Fishing Tournament

Oakland Park's Father's Day Fishing Tournament is a fun and educational "catch and release" tournament held every year on the Saturday before Father's Day. This event is open to everyone. Participate in casting skill contests in addition to the outstanding fishing. Prizes are awarded. Join us at Royal Palm Park for the Father's Day Fishing Tournament.

2018 Father’s Day Fishing Tournament Close-up



The Annual Father's Day Weekend Fishing Tournament kicked off on Saturday, June 16 with beautiful, sunny weather. Royal Palm Park was filled with over 4 anglers of all ages participating in this fantastic annual event. Over 100 fish were caught and released over the course of the tournament. A casting contest finished off the day's events and trophies were awarded in three age groups and in three age categories, Biggest fish, Most Fish Caught and the casting contest.
