Taste of Oakland Park

April 27, 2018: The 2nd Annual Taste of Oakland Park is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at Jaco Pastorius Park, 4000 N. Dixie Highway. Tickets for the “Taste of Oakland Park” festival are available for online purchase. This popular event will feature food & beverage tastings from local culinary establishments, along with live music and other entertainment. Adult admission tickets are $15 with accompanied children under 12 admitted free. There will be free parking in the two lots located at the intersection of N. Dixie Highway and N.E. 38th Street (Park Lane East). Also, there is public parking available throughout the Oakland Park downtown area. For ride sharing options, you can use the following codes to get a $5 dollar credit on your trip to or from the event:

Navy Days Concert

May 5, 2018: The Navy will once again land in Oakland Park with the Navy Concert Band performing in front of City Hall. Concert highlights will include rousing renditions of military and patriotic favorites, as well as rock and brass band songs. This event will also include several of South Florida's favorite food trucks.

Citywide Yard Sale

May 19, 2018: The City of Oakland Park offers the opportunity for you to sell your no longer needed or wanted items at the Citywide Yard Sale held at Jaco Pastorius Park.

Memorial Day Ceremony

May 28, 2018: Join City leaders and dignitaries along with the American Legion Post 222 as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Summer Nights

June 8, 2018: Celebrate four summer nights in the park with two of the city’s most popular family events: the Culinary Arts Showcase, which features an hour and a half culinary presentation by local restaurants, followed by a family-friendly Moonlit movie.

Father's Day Fishing Tournament

June 16, 2018: Oakland Park's Father's Day Fishing Tournament is a fun and educational "catch and release" tournament held every year on the Saturday before Father's Day.


October 5, 6, and 7, 2018: Enjoy live German music, German-style beer, and food in the Funky Buddha Biergarten.

Halloween Bash

October 26, 2018: Join all the ghosts and goblins for a not-so-scary evening of fun and family entertainment at the Oakland Park Music on Main Street... Halloween Bash.

Veterans Day Ceremony

November 11, 2018: Join City officials and the Oakland Park American Legion Post 222 to honor all who served this country in the armed forces.
