  • Yes, the City Commission has formally adopted a Downtown Redevelopment Plan with a visionary concept of a unique, small town, historic "Old Florida" character that was created by residents, property and business owners. The plan also includes a Renaissance Program that involves public improvements and site acquisitions.   • Oakland Park is, and has been, very involved in all of these programs for several years and plans to continue these programs. The City has budgeted funds, grants for neighborhood entrance ways and specific neighborhood grants such as Broward Beautiful. For more information, please call 954-630-4500.
