Tropical Storm Eta caused severe damage to several roadways. Starting today, November 13, 2020, Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be repairing the first of several pavement failures, which is along NE 6th Avenue, from Oakland Park Boulevard to NE 46th Street in the City of Oakland Park. Work will be substantially completed by December 4, 2020, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays. To expedite this emergency repair, weekend construction is anticipated for November 14-15, 2020. During construction, at least one lane in each direction will be open to vehicular traffic. Sidewalks will remain accessible to pedestrians during construction.
Variable message signs will be posted to warn pedestrians and motorists.
