    PUBLIC NOTICE: There will be an Executive Session of the City Commission 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020. The Executive Session is for the purpose of conducting a meeting in private pursuant to Section 44 7 .605( 1) and 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, to discuss: Labor Negotiations with: Federation of Public Employees The Executive Session will be held virtually per the Governor's Executive Order 20-193. In attendance will be: Members of the City Commission; David Hebert, City Manager; DJ Doody, City Attorney; Jim Cherof, Assistant City Attorney; Jennifer Frastai, Assistant City Manager; Lori Day, Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services; Stephen Scott, Assistant Human Resources Director, and Andrew Thompson, Finance Director.

    REMINDER: Since this City Commission meeting is scheduled for THURSDAY, September 3, 2020, the City Commission Agenda & Backup will be published THURSDAY, August 27, 2020. Thank you for your patience. NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all City facilities are closed, including City Hall. The City Commission meeting will be held per the Governor's Executive Order 20-69, which was extended by Executive Order 20-193. The City Commission meeting can be viewed via live web-stream on the City's website www.oaklandparkfl.gov, on Comcast Channel 78, AT&T Channel 99, or on the City's website the following day. Public comments (no more than 250 words) can be submitted for the record to publiccomments@oaklandparkfl.gov by 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020.   1. Drive-Thru Food Distribution at Mills Pond Park Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m.

    The food distribution begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until all the boxes of food are given out. If you would like to volunteer to assist with Food Distribution Events, please call Oakland Park's Community Volunteer Corps at 954-630-4502.
