Mortgage & Utility Bill Assistance: Homeowners affected by COVID may apply for up to 10 months assistance to pay delinquent mortgage payments, association dues and/or utility bills. Eligible homeowners must have a current homestead exemption on homesteaded residences in eligible Broward cities, with household income at or below 140% of the Area Median Income, and have been impacted by COVID. Due to State expenditure deadlines, complete applications must be received no later than Monday, December 7, 2020. Assistance is on a first come, first qualified, first served basis, until available funds are expended.
Rental Assistance: If you have received an eviction or past due notice from your landlord, and your maximum household income is below the amount for your household size, you may be eligible for assistance.
Oakland Park residents are eligible to receive funds through the County’s Family Success Administration Division.

Electric Bill Assistance: Low-income families struggling to pay their electric bill may be eligible for financial assistance through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Eligibility is based on income and household size. The Broward County LIHEAP Program is for Broward County residents only.
