The exciting, family-friendly event starts with a parade featuring marching bands, dancers, and more from Jaco Pastorius Park to Wimberly Field and continues with a celebration at Wimberly Field from 11:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Enjoy carnival rides, games, food, live music, and fireworks!
Wristbands for carnival rides may be purchased through Friday, March 3rd for $15 (cash only) at the Collins Community Center, the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library, and City Hall. Wristbands can be purchased for $20 (cash or credit) at the event on Saturday, March 4th.
Visit the event webpage for a map of parking locations. Free shuttle service will operate from City Hall to Wimberly Field from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. We encourage ride share or carpooling to avoid any inconvenience.

Event theme: Eco Explorers!
Eco Explorers is a theme focused on promoting environmental awareness and conservation. This theme celebrates the individuals and organizations that work to protect and preserve our natural spaces. Eco Explorers is a great way for kids to learn about the environment and become eco-conscious explorers of their own. The event's goal is to inspire the next generation to be guardians of the planet and take action to protect the environment and our community.
Youth Day Celebration - Est. 1957
The City’s signature celebration of its youth features Broward County’s longest-running parade led by elected officials, community groups, local schools, and athletic teams.
This year’s parade – starts at Jaco Pastorius Park, proceeds south on Dixie Highway, turns west on NE 38th Street, north along NE 5th Avenue, and finishes at the Wimberly Field Athletic Complex.
Immediately following the parade, the opening ceremonies will welcome everyone to this wonderful event featuring carnival rides, live music, delicious food, and fireworks.
No entry fee. Wristbands for rides may be purchased until Friday for $15 or the day of the event for $20 cash or credit.

Parade Route
