Thursday, June 18, 2020
Recipients are reminded to arrive with their own empty box or container placed in the trunk of their vehicle so it can be filled with food as they pass through the distribution stations.
The cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors are partnering with Feeding South Florida to host a 10th COVID-19 drive-thru food distribution this Thursday, May 28 from 9 - 11 a.m. at Mills Pond Park, located at 2201 NW 9 Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
Recipients are reminded to arrive with their own empty box or container placed in the trunk of their vehicle so it can be filled with food as they pass through the distribution stations. Recipients must remain in their vehicles and will be instructed to open their trunk when volunteers are ready to load it.
To access the event, enter Mills Pond Park from southbound NW 9 Avenue (Powerline Road).
The free event is intended to provide healthy and nutritious food to those who are most in need due to job loss, income loss, or the inability to cover their monthly expenses.
