FOUNDER'S WALL
We need your support.
Since its founding in 1958, thanks to the initiative of the Oakland Park Woman’s Club, the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library is proud to continue the mission of meeting the educational, cultural, and recreational information needs of our community. In partnership with the Friends of the Library, and with business and patron support, we have done so in a manner that ensures top quality, progressive service and convenient access to our diverse population.
Through the years, the Library has impacted the lives of young and old alike by providing quality cost-free resources and innovative programming including the American Red Cross Babysitting/CPR for teens, Rockin’ Reading Buddies Read Out Loud, Tales for Tots storytime, Career Online High School Diploma, adult computer classes, homework help, Super Science Squad for youth, computer and Wi-Fi internet access, eBooks, foreign language learning and feature films through Mango, and many other online databases.
Naturally, the growth and development of our Library has been enhanced through community support. Ongoing financial support through our Founders program is essential to the continued success of the projects which make this Library special. We need your support.
By becoming a Founder as an individual, business or organization with your contribution of $500 or more, you will be honored and recognized for helping to create excellence in our Library.
