The City Attorney provides legal advice, support and direction to the City Council and the City staff in their capacity of performing official City duties. The Attorney’s functions include review of contracts, drafting of ordinances, defending the City against legal actions and prosecuting cases on behalf of the City.

Over the course of several decades, Mr. Doody has represented governmental entities such as municipalities, community redevelopment agencies, housing authorities and water control districts. He also represents governmental clients in both Federal and Florida State courts when the litigation involves constitutional issues, zoning issues and employee relations.
