‘Community Soul’ Festival Friday Evening Celebrating Black History Month The City of Oakland Park is proud to present “Community Soul,” a free celebration for the entire community, commemorating Black History Month to recognize the contributions and achievements of the African and Caribbean American community. This Black History Month event will take place tomorrow (Friday) evening at Jaco Pastorius Park from 6 to 10 p.m. Headlining the entertainment will be Old Skool Gang (O.S.G.) in concert and a performance by BamiDele Dance of African Arts. Vendors will feature South Florida restaurants specializing in barbecue, soul food, Caribbean, and comfort cuisine.
