Business Tax Receipt/Certificate of Use

The City of Oakland Park requires all businesses to obtain a Business Tax Receipt. The City provides online annual renewal of Business Tax Receipts. After October 1st, 2019, all businesses applying for a Business Tax Receipt in the City of Oakland Park must obtain a Certificate of Use prior to occupying or opening your business.

Short-Term Rentals

All Short-Term Rentals are required to have a permit that is valid for 365 days. The Short-Term Rental permit will need to be renewed each year.  The application can be completed through the Short-Term Rental webpage.

Massage and Health Spa Establishments

All Massage and Health Spa State Licensed establishments are required to obtain a permit with the City of Oakland Park. Newly licensed Massage and Health Spa establishments must meet the separation requirements set forth in the Health Spa Ordinance. 

Open Past Midnight Permit

The City requires a permit for all vendors licensed by the State Division of Beverage desiring to remain open for the purpose of selling, delivery, or serving of alcoholic beverages between the hours of Midnight and 2:00 a.m. on weekdays and Midnight and 3:00 a.m. on Sundays.

Community Residence

On February 5, 2020, the Oakland Park City Commission adopted regulations to accommodate Community Residence for persons with disabilities. All Community Residences are required to register with the City and obtain all available certifications issued by state credentialing agency, applicable t the type of disability being monitored.
