The Library welcomes volunteers at many levels of service from shelving materials to teaching classes or leading a program. Teen volunteers who are 16 years of age can earn their required school service hours at the Library. Learn more about the City’s Volunteer Corps.
Teen Volunteers/Community Service Hours
Volunteering at the library is a great way to serve your community, gain work experience, and earn community service hours. Teen volunteers assist the library with shelving, storytime preparation, special events or programs, and more. If you love libraries, working with people and children, and want to make a positive difference in the community call or visit us to find out more information about the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library’s teen volunteer program. Contact Teen Volunteer Coordinator Miss Sheree at 954-630-4243 for more information.
